Three in one!  Tempting to wax eloquent about the trinitarian nature of God, but I'll save
that for another time or, better yet, for another more suited to that purpose.  I will, though,
use the occasion of  having missed a couple of weeks of the, now oxymoronic, weekly post
in making this week's point.  How busy is too busy?
I don't know that I can define too busy, but I can make a pretty good guess that you would
say your life is an example of it.  I say that with the confidence of one who has heard
everyone I know and many I don't say that about themselves.  Too busy!  They often don't
say what it is that they are too busy doing, just too busy.  If we really think about that we
know that we are all equally busy; everyone is doing something 24 hours every day.  No
more and no less.  The only way to be less busy overall is to be doing nothing at all in this
world because to enjoy that state one would have to be gone from this world.
So the too-ness of our business must be relative.  Too busy doing something we don't want
to do, or too busy doing something we DO want to do but in so doing making ourselves too
busy to do another thing that we would also like to do.  That's the one, isn't it?  We are too
busy to do it all and that's what we want!  We want to see ALL the movies, read ALL the
best selling books, read ALL the classics, listen to ALL the music, see ALL the TV shows,
keep up with ALL the news, learn ALL about everything that interests us, keep up with the
intimate details of ALL the celebrities, and see ALL the Internet sites.  Oh, and make a
fortune, spend quality time with our wives, kids, extended family, friends, keep up the
house, build some projects, keep the car going, and have an award-winning lawn.  Read the
Bible, pray, minister...   well, you just can't do it all, right?  Too busy!.
