How confident are you that you can see Satan's schemes coming? If you are confident at
all, you are too confident. The only way to avoid being taken in is by faith. In other
words, without faith not only will you not see these schemes coming, you will probably
think they are your own ideas and that the whole thing is Godly and good. If you see that it
is not good, you will definitely see how it was all totally out of your control - forced on you
by some environmental condition or other and therefore not your responsibility. Did you
ever wonder how much of your activity, beliefs, relationships, and possessions are part of
some satanic scheme? No? Do you think the answer is "none" because "none" is the truth
or is the answer "none" because of deception? It's not a question you want to take
seriously is it?
Are you confident in your faith? If so, you are doomed to further deception. Faith must be
faith in God. So, you must trust God to protect you from deception and you must trust
Him completely - and here is the part that will keep you in a world that looks as though all
is well when the smoke of hell is all around you - you must trust Him alone. Any belief in
your own ability versus Satan is the chink gone from your armor and Satan is the Great
Chink Finder.
But, you might say, we are commanded to resist and Satan will flee. Yes, if your resistance
is undertaken with faith that you can stand - by the grace, mercy and power of God alone.
Not by your might or power of which you have none that is your own. Satan flees from
God not your resistance. Did you ever wonder why so many people act in a way that
seems contradictory to reality? Did you ever wonder whether this reality you so clearly see
is grounded in God's truth? Reality check.
