I have heard several people say that they believed the movie, The Last Passion of the Christ, was
America's last chance to repent.  I don't know if that is true, but whether it is or not is not as
important as your own opportunity to repent.  If you are a Christian, for example, how much of
your life are you giving to pleasing God?  Go ahead; state it in a percentage - 10%?  25% ? 50% ?
75%?  If your percentage was a little low, then ask yourself how many more opportunities you
might have to repent.  I don't think you need to worry as much about America's repentance as
you do your own, nor do I.  If America itself repents will it not have to be one person at a time?
If you are not trusting Christ with your life then how many more opportunities will you have to
repent?  Of course, you don't know.  Maybe you have an opportunity right now.   If America
somehow does repent as a result of Mr. Gibson's movie or even some other cause you won't be
helped by it one bit unless you yourself repent.  Its between you and God.  I pray you will
consider the claims of Christ and the sacrifice made for you just as portrayed in The Passion of
the Christ.  If you believe God raised Him and confess Him as Lord, and turn to Him from your
sin you will be saved and your life will be changed forever.  If you do not, you may continue to
find pleasure in sin, you may continue to feel intellectually superior - and in this age maybe even
morally superior.  But you will look upon Him someday and you will mourn over your decision to
enjoy this age and to forego the eternal pleasures of Christ.
